Job summary

A manufacturing company in Singapore is seeking candidates for a role requiring a comprehensive understanding of the molding process and machine operations. Applicants should have a minimum NITEC or Diploma and experience in injection molding is preferred. Responsibilities include operating machinery, ensuring product quality, and maintaining cleanliness and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have passed Audiometric Test and colour vision test.
  • Experience in injection molding process is preferred.
  • Capacity to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Perform cleaning and maintenance of equipment as required.

Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Comprehensive understanding of the molding process, the molds, auxiliary equipment and machine operations.
2. Works within the mold and process to perform diagnosis and remedies to produce quality products.
3. Capable of performing or learning to start up and operate molding machine.
4. Works with production personnel to ensure molded parts meet requirements, properly stored and / or packaged for downstream.
5. Learn to prepare and verify correct material for production use.
6. Perform mold windows cleaning and ensure machine cleanliness per 6S requirement, example: disposal of plastics scrap, etc.
7. Perform moisture verification per specification requirement and update production record/inclusive of exception actions.
8. To perform department quarterly cleaning as deploy and take ownership of equipment as assigned.
9. Maintain and provide clear and accurate mold history files with accurate recordings.
10. Proactively practice and adhere to EHS and relevant safety protocols, cGMP and other essential compliance procedures.
11. To take ownership of the equipment and tools during use.
12. Updating of production records timely (Pitch Chart, OEE, MAR QDA & A&P).
13. Support planned activities (e.g. quarterly cleaning, shut down).
14. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
* Candidates with appropriate aptitude and attitude may be involved in performing higher level tasks such as validation (machine/process), production planning etc.

Qualifications/ Education:

• Minimally a NITEC (NTC/ ITC)/ Diploma or equivalent.
• Passed Audiometric Test.
• Passed colour vision test.


Skill Set and/or Experience:

• Experience in Injection Molding process is preferred.
• Basic computer literacy.
• High level of organizational skills.
• High sense of urgency. Escalate potential safety, process and/or quality issues.
• Capacity to work independently as well as within a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
• Able to handle basic measuring instruments (e.g. vernier calipers, dial indicator, moisture analyzer, opticall comparator).
• Process and equipment troubleshooting skills.
