Sr Technician, Manufacturing (Plastics/Tool Room) - 8h Shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for training and guiding new or existing technicians. Responsible for analyzing machine utilization, improving and ensuring quality output. Maintains and repairs complex issues or mold systems. Works with outside vendors for mold repairs beyond internal capabilities. Assist and partner with the engineering team in protocol/validation for continuous improvements. Updates to engineering of mold conditions, requiring major repairs. Support in receiving new molds, mold verification. Manage inventory levels of mold spares and components. Verify and ensure spares and components received are within specification. Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures. Proactively practice and adhere to EHS and relevant safety protocols, cGMP and other essential compliance procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/ Education:

• NITEC / Diploma in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering

Skill Set and/or Experience:

• At least 8 years of relevant experience
• Must be able to read blueprints and have basic electrical knowledge
• Experience in handling measuring instruments, equipment, and machinery (e.g., lathe machine, grinding machine)
• Experience in mold spare inventory management is an advantage.
• Ability to communicate with varying levels within the organization.
• High sense of urgency. Escalate potential safety, process, and/or quality issues.
• The ability to work efficiently and demonstrate strong leadership skills, appropriate level of adaptability, and stay composed under stress.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented.
• Experience with different types of mold and manifold systems.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to lead major changes or modifications, confidence.
• Must be able to work night shifts.
