SR. TAX ANALYST (APAC)

As we expand Starlink (our revolutionary satellite broadband internet) across the APAC region, Starlink Internet Services Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of SpaceX, is seeking a Sr. Tax Analyst to work on direct and indirect tax matters across the APAC region, including managing tax compliance, driving tax initiatives and technology, and supporting tax audits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Data preparation and coordination with external service providers for the preparation of both direct and indirect tax returns.
  2. Coordinate all tax payments and calculations, including monitoring payment dates, preparing payment files, and recording payments.
  3. Prepare or assist in the preparation of tax provisions for local and consolidated financial statements, reconcile tax/VAT/GST accounts, and work with financial statement auditors.
  4. Responsible for tax invoicing and withholding tax-related matters.
  5. Work with internal and external transfer pricing teams in preparation and maintenance of transfer pricing files and tracking of intercompany balances.
  6. Research and resolve tax technical issues arising from transactions and product offerings, or as part of the tax compliance or audit process.
  7. Assist and manage notices and audits received from various taxing authorities.
  8. Assist with maintaining tax records and related documents.
  9. Collaborate and partner with cross functional teams (operations, policy, commercial, legal, customs, treasury, accounting, finance) and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all local tax laws and regulations.
  10. Work with outsourced third-party service providers and oversee outsourced tax compliance activities, where applicable.
  11. Assist in implementing systems or technologies related to tax initiatives.
  12. Support the business in assessing tax-related matters as required.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or tax.
  2. 4+ years of combined tax experience in public accounting and/or a multinational corporation.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  1. Prior experience at a Big 4 accounting firm.
  2. Experience with multinational companies operating across multiple countries in APAC.
  3. Experience in tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax advisory, and tax controversy.
  4. Experience dealing with GST/VAT.
  5. Detail-oriented, organized, and efficient in work processes.
  6. Ability to multitask and work collaboratively or independently.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Applicants must have the current legal right to work in Singapore.
  2. This is an onsite position based in Singapore. Remote and hybrid work options are not available.
