Job summary

Deloitte Southeast Asia seeks an experienced SR&T Manager for Valuation & Modeling in Singapore. You will join a growing practice and apply advanced valuation tools to partner with clients on asset value, strategic decisions and risk mitigation.

You will work with clients to deliver rigorous, evidence-based analyses, develop solutions, and provide clear recommendations across portfolios and tax and reporting needs.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting with strong academics.
• Minimum 7 years of valuation experience in business, assets or financial instruments.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and valuation modelling.

Responsibilities

• Perform valuations for financial reporting, tax and other purposes including business combinations and impairment analyses.
• Develop and apply robust valuation models to value entities, assets and instruments, with evidence-based insights.
• Lead client engagements, manage timelines and deliver high-quality valuation deliverables and reports.

Work you will do

Deloitte is growing its Strategy, Risk, and Transaction (SR&T) – Valuation & Modeling practice in Southeast Asia. We use advanced modelling and valuation tools to partner with our clients to unlock asset value, drive strategic decisions, and mitigate risks, including acquisition assessments, financial reporting, dispute resolution, and portfolio valuation, ensuring accurate valuations for investment portfolios.

You will work alongside our clients to bring a rigorous, evidence based analytical capability to help them solve pressing and complex issues. This includes revealing insight and delivering value through pragmatic and actionable recommendations. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our clients to understand the forces that are driving change, identifying opportunities and develop solutions across the whole organization.

The nature of the work we do includes:

• Performing financial reporting valuations for business combinations, including purchase price allocations, enterprise values, intangible assets, financial instruments, and legal entities.


• Supporting goodwill and indefinite‑lived and long‑lived asset impairment analyses for financial reporting purposes.


• Conducting valuations for tax purposes across various tax matters, including tax written down allowances.


• Assisting clients with business plan development, strategic investment decisions, and other financial objectives through valuation analyses.


• Preparing valuations for derivative securities, debt instruments, employee stock option plans, and regulatory or compliance purposes.


• Preparing valuations for other purposes, such as M&A, circulars and litigation support/ dispute resolution.

Requirements

• Possesses an undergraduate Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Quantitative Finance, or a related discipline from a recognized university, with outstanding academic credentials. Professional certifications such as CVA (or equivalent) or CFA are considered an advantage.


• Minimum of 7 years of relevant working experience in business valuation, intangible asset valuation, and/or financial instrument valuation experience.


• Good experience in applying cost, market, and income valuation approaches, including discounted cash flow, guideline public company, guideline transaction, excess earnings, relief‑from‑royalty, with‑and‑without, comparative sales, replacement cost, capital asset pricing model methodologies, and option pricing models (including standard and customised binomial models).


• Good experience in developing financial models to value common stock, business entities, financial instruments, and intangible assets, and conducting client, economic, industry, competitor, and statistical or ratio analyses


• Understanding of professional standards, industry practices, IFRS aligned financial reporting standards (or relevant local GAAP), and tax requirements applicable to valuation engagements.


• Good experience in preparing and reviewing valuation reports, presentations, and other client deliverables, with strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.


• Proven ability to lead multiple engagements concurrently, managing project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, stakeholder expectations, and delivery quality.


• Demonstrates strong analytical, problem-solving, and commercial skills, with the ability to assess complex business issues and develop practical, value‑driven recommendations.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence and executive presence to present insights and recommendations to senior management, boards of directors, and key stakeholders.


• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, with experience managing client relationships, supporting business development initiatives, and developing professional networks.


• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high‑performing teams while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, continuous learning, and client service excellence.


• Willingness to travel and work on-site at client premises as required by client service engagements.
