The team is responsible for developing cutting-edge methodologies that support new product launches across Enterprise and Client HDD platforms, including technologies like Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording (HAMR) and Hybrid Shingled Media Recording. By integrating hardware, firmware, and factory test processes, the group ensures robust product performance and quality across all development phases.

Working in close collaboration with cross-functional teams globally, the group leverages data analytics, experimental design, and firmware development to drive continuous improvements in test efficiency. Engineers in this team are empowered to lead R&D initiatives, analyze complex test data, and prototype new solutions that directly impact Seagate’s product competitiveness and operational excellence.

About the role - you will:
  • Lead and contribute to R&D initiatives targeting improvements in test process yield and test time.
