Job summary

PerkinElmer in Singapore is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain methods, operation sequences, and processes for parts and final assemblies.

The role interfaces with design engineering, drives yield improvements and cost reductions, and supports NPI and product transfer projects within a global manufacturing network.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with design engineering in coordinating the release of new products.
• Estimates manufacturing cost, determines time standards, and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines.
• Maintains records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
• Responsible for site Manufacturing Engineering support, identify and propose opportunities including Out/In-sourcing ideas, EOL management, alternate sourcing and others Support/Lead NPI and Product Transfer projects to successful completion
• Initiate value engineering projects to enhance operational capabilities to meet new business needs and raise operational efficiency
• Support material localization projects for improvements in product cost, quality and operational excellence
• Work closely with cross functional teams to understand engineering related issues in order to provide effective solutions
• Drive yield improvement, reduce COPQ and productivity through automation and process enhancement
• Improve site Safety through hazard identification and prevention
