Job summary

Databricks Singapore is seeking a Sr. Manager, Field Engineering to lead a diverse pre‑sales Solutions Architects team covering the ASEAN region.

You will guide design of impactful solutions and drive growth through collaboration and innovation, empowering your team to communicate complex ideas clearly. The role partners with Sales, Marketing, Services and other groups to ensure a seamless customer experience and to build trusted relationships with customers and partners.

Overview

As a Sr. Manager, Field Engineering, you will lead a diverse team of technical pre‑sales Solutions Architects covering the ASEAN region. You’ll play a key leadership role at the intersection of technology and business—guiding your team to design impactful solutions and drive growth through collaboration and innovation. You’ll empower your team to communicate complex ideas with clarity, support strategic enterprise customer engagements, and build lasting partnerships with clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a high‑performing, inclusive pre‑sales team

• Work closely with Sales and other teams to identify opportunities and deliver data‑driven, value‑focused solutions.

• Partner with Marketing, Sales, Services, and other cross‑functional teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading or managing technical teams in Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS environments—or equivalent experience gained through hands‑on engineering or consulting work.
• A track record of coaching and developing diverse, high‑performing teams.
• Strong collaboration skills and the ability to partner effectively with Sales, Marketing, and other cross‑functional leaders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Technical background in Data Engineering, Databases, or Data Science (consulting or customer‑facing experience preferred).
• Enthusiasm for data, AI, and cloud technologies, and the ability to connect these to real business outcomes.
