Job summary

Vantive is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform regulatory-compliant testing of raw materials, in-process and final products. You will support manufacturing operations, operate laboratory equipment, document results and assist in improvement projects.

The role requires a Diploma in Sciences/ Chemistry/ Microbiology or equivalent, and willingness to work shifts. Knowledge of documentation and EH&S procedures is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Sciences/ Chemistry/ Microbiology or related field.
• GCE A Level / STPM/ Higher Nitec / NITEC qualification with working experience can be acceptable or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing on raw materials, in-process and final products for compliance to quality standards.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and assist in test procedure qualification and validation.
• Ensure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• 1. You will be responsible for performing laboratory testing on raw materials as well as initial, in-process and final products for compliance to quality standard.
• 2. Other responsibilities include laboratory equipment maintenance, test procedure qualification, validation as well as involvement in improvement projects.
• 3. Responsible for compliance with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) procedure and requirement.

Qualification / Education

To include the education that is necessary to perform the job satisfactorily

• Diploma in Sciences/ Chemistry/ Microbiology or related field or equivalent.
• GCE A Level / STPM/ Higher Nitec / NITEC qualification with working experience can be acceptable or equivalent.

Skill Set / Experience

List the knowledge / skill / experience required

• Ability to work independently and willing to perform shift work or overtime when required to support the manufacturing operations
• Knowledge & experience in laboratory equipment, documentation would be advantageous
