The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Finance Manager to lead the Finance function for Paula’s Choice Southeast Asia, based in Singapore. As member of the Management Committee, you help shape and drive Paula’s Choice’s growth agenda for Southeast Asia.

Acting as a mini-CFO for the region, this role has end-to-end responsibility for all aspects of financial planning & analysis (FP&A), commercial finance, accounting oversight, governance, risk management, and strategic decision support across SEA markets. It

Key responsibilities include:

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and monthly performance reviews for the SEA region.
  • Deliver insightful financial reporting and business performance analysis to the Regional and US global stakeholders (at Paula’s Choice and/or at Unilever).
  • Track channel and market profitability, identify growth levers, and drive margin improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with the General Manager SEA- to help deliver the KPI’s for the SEA P&L

Commercial Finance

  • Partner cross-functionally with Commercial teams (DTC, Wholesale and Marketplace), Marketing, Supply Chain to evaluate promotions, pricing, and trade & Marketing investments on an ongoing basis
  • Work with the General Manager SEA and build business cases for new market/channel entries, partnerships, and investments.
  • Track customer-level profitability and recommend optimizations.
  • Manage cash position and related cash forecasting

Controllership & Governance

  • Oversee local accounting, compliance, and statutory reporting in partnership with external accounting providers (where provided) and Unilever Group Finance.
  • Complies with national and local tax and local requirements by studying existing and new legislation; anticipating future legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing appropriate financial reports; advising management on needed actions.
  • Ensure strong internal controls, compliance with Unilever policies, and tax/regulatory requirements in each SEA market.
  • Lead audit readiness and risk mitigation processes for internal processes and also for Supply chain partners ( 3PL)
  • Ensure compliance and reporting in Netsuite

Leadership & Business Partnership

  • Act as a key advisor to the GM SEA, and contribute actively to regional strategy and operational decisions.
  • Make recommendations to General Manager SEA on cost saving measures regarding company expenses and categorization of budgeted expenses.
  • Partner with the General Manager SEA to negotiate Terms of Trade agreements with key 3rd party vendors/ Key accounts
  • Manage and develop finance team members (if applicable), fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 8–10 years of progressive finance experience, ideally with a mix of FP&A, controlling and commercial finance exposure.
  • Experience in FMCG, Beauty, or Consumer Health sectors preferred.
  • Regional experience in Southeast Asia; understanding of local nuances, tax, and regulatory environments.
  • Excellent commercial & Strategic awareness; able to synthesize complex problems and present findings clearly.
  • Hands-on, agile, and solutions-driven — comfortable operating in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience in financial modelling (strategic planning, target setting, P&L sensitivity analysis etc.), and preparing C-level PowerPoint decks for senior stakeholders.
