Basic Functions: The engineer will be responsible for planning and executing projects, working with sales, customers, and distributors, supporting the industrial solutions team, advising on project feasibility, variation orders, and managing submittals for approval.

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Execute project management duties, ensuring all milestones are met within schedule.
  2. Create and monitor the master project schedule.
  3. Coordinate with internal and external parties for project implementation.
  4. Ensure responsibilities and milestones are on track.
  5. Lead Factory Acceptance Tests with customers and distributors.
  6. Ensure all documentation is approved and endorsed for delivery.
  7. Schedule and coordinate on-site testing, ensuring smooth transition to aftermarket.
  8. Provide first-level technical support during project execution.
  9. Collaborate with engineering on project feasibility and cost estimation.
  10. Submit monthly project status reports highlighting issues or concerns.
  11. Support engineering on third-party product drawings for submissions.
  12. Participate in continuous improvement projects.
  13. Coordinate with interplant teams on deliveries, factory tests, and documentation.
  14. Update project status in weekly meetings with scheduler, customer service, and production teams.
  15. Attend weekly site meetings with main contractors and consultants as needed.
  16. Manage site installations, ensuring completion within timelines.
  17. Coordinate with subcontractors on site work, drawings, and materials.

Qualifications / Requirements:

  1. Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with 8-10 years of relevant experience, or
  2. Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with over 10 years of relevant experience.
  3. Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  4. Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings.
  5. Familiarity with generators, controls, and associated equipment is advantageous.
  6. Knowledge of generator standards and codes is advantageous.
