What the role is:
As an Engineer in Catchment & Waterways Department / Drainage Construction team, you would work closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement and manage drainage construction projects to upgrade our waterways to protect Singapore against flooding.
What you will be working on:
• Detailed planning, hydraulic and structural design of drains• Implement, procure, administer and manage drainage projects and related contracts to ensure timely, delivery of projects in accordance with Contract, safety and budgetary requirements• Coordinate, consult and obtain approval from all relevant stakeholders to implement drainage projects.• Attend to feedback from stakeholders and agencies and take necessary actions to resolve issues to ensure smooth implementation of projects.• Manage project budgeting and expenditure for the projects to ensure that expenditure are within budget and plan cost.• Assess progress claims to ensure that they are in accordance with completed works and duly processed.
What we are looking for:
• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent• Candidates with experience in project management are preferred• Independent, result oriented and self-driven team player with good communication skills• Knowledge of hydraulic, structural and geotechnical analysis• Knowledge of structural concrete, steel and geotechnical design to Eurocode• Knowledge of Public Sector Conditions of Contract and experience in the preparation of specifications and other tender documentation for projects preferredOffice Location: Waterhub, 80 Toh Guan Road East
