Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited is seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA to manage security and vulnerability processes, patch management, and fixes across complex SQL Server environments. The role covers remediation planning, implementation, and compliance tracking with ITIL-aligned processes.

The candidate will administer SQL Server databases, manage Always On availability groups, replication, backup/recovery, and performance tuning while ensuring minimal downtime through planned maintenance windows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.

Responsibilities

• Review security advisories, CUs, GDRs and bulletins.
• Assess vulnerabilities and operational impact.
• Develop remediation and patch deployment strategies.
• Track remediation and compliance status.
• Coordinate patching across SIT/UT/Prod environments.
• Maintain health checks before/after patching.
