Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with databases and back-end development.
• Hands-on with Sybase and MSSQL for schema, query, and server.
• Strong T-SQL, able to read and rewrite complex stored procedures.
• Experience with Java or PowerBuilder application development.

Responsibilities

• Convert stored procedures, triggers and views from Sybase T-SQL to SQL Server T-SQL, keeping the same behavior.
• Fix code that does not convert automatically, and the differences in behavior between the two databases.
• Update the PowerBuilder application and the Java applications to work with SQL Server.
• Test and compare the old and new systems to confirm that the results are the same.
• Work with the client's technical team on site, and with the offshore team on daily delivery.
