Job description

Spray Painters are responsible for applying spray paints on metals, gates, wooden doors, walls, ceilings, etc., and executing related tasks such as discussing project requirements with clients, preparing the job site, applying primers, removing old paint, filling holes, matching colors, and cleaning tools and site.

They work in construction, both outdoor and indoor projects, following instructions and work orders from supervisors or team leads. Spray painters handle materials and machinery, including equipment like overhead cranes, and work according to company schedules, including day and night shifts.

Their duties include:

1. Preparing parts and assemblies for painting
2. Mixing paint and materials according to specifications
3. Ensuring equipment is in good condition
4. Identifying and reporting non-conforming parts or materials
5. Applying paint with spray guns as per specifications
6. Measuring parts to maintain quality control
7. Monitoring equipment and making adjustments as needed
8. Cleaning equipment using solvents, brushes, and cloths
9. Selecting and matching paint colors following charts
10. Performing minor maintenance and handling materials
