MOVEFREE INVESCO PTE. LTD. seeks a qualified Sports Masseuse to provide professional massage services aimed at muscle recovery, mobility, and performance. You will work with physiotherapists and healthcare professionals to deliver safe, patient-centred care.

Responsibilities include assessing clients, maintaining records, ensuring hygiene, and supporting clinic operations and development. First Aid/CPR certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Sports Massage, Remedial Massage, Sports Therapy or a related field.
• Relevant recognised certification in sports massage is preferred.
• First Aid / CPR certification is an advantage.

Job description

Job Summary

To provide professional sports and therapeutic massage services to clients to support muscle recovery, mobility, injury prevention and physical performance. The Sports Masseuse will work closely with physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals to provide safe, effective and patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sports & Therapeutic Massage

• Provide sports massage, deep tissue massage, remedial massage and other appropriate soft-tissue techniques.
• Perform pre- and post-exercise/event massage where appropriate.
• Tailor treatment techniques according to the client's needs, condition and treatment objectives.
• Assist clients with muscle recovery, flexibility and mobility.
• Apply appropriate passive stretching and mobility techniques within the individual's competency and scope of practice.

2. Client Care & Assessment

• Conduct a basic assessment of the client's presenting symptoms, muscular tightness and functional limitations before treatment.
• Identify conditions or symptoms that may require further assessment by a physiotherapist or other healthcare professional.
• Communicate clearly with clients regarding the treatment approach, expected outcomes and aftercare.
• Monitor client response during and after treatment and modify treatment appropriately.
• Provide appropriate advice on recovery, stretching, hydration and general self-management.

3. Collaboration with Physiotherapists

Work closely with physiotherapists to support patients undergoing rehabilitation.

• Follow treatment recommendations provided by the physiotherapist where applicable.
• Communicate relevant observations regarding a client's condition and response to treatment.
• Refer clients to the physiotherapist when symptoms fall outside the Sports Masseuse's scope of practice or require further clinical assessment.

4. Documentation & Administration

• Maintain accurate and timely treatment records.
• Document relevant treatment findings, techniques applied and client response.
• Ensure patient information is kept confidential.
• Assist with appointment scheduling and other clinic administrative duties when required.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment packages, sessions and relevant client information.

5. Clinic Standards & Safety

• Maintain a clean, hygienic and professional treatment environment.
• Ensure treatment rooms, equipment and supplies are properly maintained.
• Follow clinic infection-control, workplace safety and operational procedures.
• Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and conduct at all times.
• Report any incidents, adverse reactions or concerns to the Clinic Manager or supervising physiotherapist.

6. Patient Service & Business Development

• Provide a welcoming, professional and positive experience for all clients.
• Build good rapport and long-term relationships with clients.
• Encourage appropriate follow-up and continuity of care where clinically appropriate.
• Support the clinic's marketing, health-promotion and sporting-event activities when required.
• Participate in promotional activities, workshops or community events organised by the clinic.

7. Professional Development

• Keep up to date with developments in sports massage, soft-tissue therapy, recovery and sports performance.
• Participate in internal training and professional development activities.
• Attend case discussions and team meetings where required.
• Continuously improve technical skills and standards of client care.

Qualification and Skills

Certificate, Diploma or equivalent qualification in Sports Massage, Remedial Massage, Sports Therapy or a related field.
