Role Description:
It is the job of the Sports Coach togenerally helpthe Lead Coach to ensure allRugbytotsenjoy their classes with usand:
- To help welcome and acknowledge all participants upon arrival of each class
- To help lead,motivateand engage with the children in your classes, particularlythe children who are shy,newor unsure of their surroundings
- Assist the Lead Coach to work though theRugbytotsprogramme to teach the basic core skills used in rugby in a fun and structured environment using equipment and apparatus provided –theRugbytotsprogramme must be used
- Encourageteam spirit and patience amongst the team by doingappropriate gamesand tasks in groups and individually
- Referring any parent enquiriesor any concernstothe office.
- It is the responsibility of the Sports Coach to ensure:
- Rugby balls are out of the bag and scattered in the space ready for the children to play with before their class starts
- To know the game structure of each class, and to ask what equipment the Lead Coach needs for each gamebefore each class starts
- Set upequipmentready for the Lead Coach to run each newgame, andneatly put away quickly once a game is finished.Thespaceneeds to bealways kept tidythroughout the sessions
- Make sure the kit is packed away neat and tidy and no kit is left behind, and the hall is left tidy; clear of rubbish, stickersetc.Keep an eye out for any clothing, water bottles etc that may have been left behind by parents/carers
- To attend all training and refresher courses as required byRugbytots
- To act in a professional way as a representative ofRugbytotswhilst at aRugbytotsvenue
- Always have a smile on yourface andensure that everyone in each class has FUN!
