Job Description:

As a Speech Language Therapist, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations using systematic clinical reasoning, forming and validating diagnostic hypotheses.
  • Identify and analyze speech, language, and communication disorders related to referred conditions, applying evidence-based assessment techniques.
  • Develop and execute individualized treatment plans grounded in current research, prioritizing patient safety and therapeutic efficacy.
  • Track patient progress, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with confidentiality protocols.
  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams by attending rounds, clinics, meetings, and contributing to research or process improvement initiatives.
  • Support departmental goals by fostering professional partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engage in continuous learning by participating in clinical education programs and training opportunities.
  • Provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship to junior staff, students, and therapy assistants to ensure high-quality care delivery.
  • Oversee Therapy Assistants to maintain adherence to best practices in treatment implementation.

Requirements:

  • Possess Bachelor/ Master Degree in Speech Pathology, Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
  • Must have AHPC registration/ eligible for registration
