Job Description:
As a Speech Language Therapist, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations using systematic clinical reasoning, forming and validating diagnostic hypotheses.
- Identify and analyze speech, language, and communication disorders related to referred conditions, applying evidence-based assessment techniques.
- Develop and execute individualized treatment plans grounded in current research, prioritizing patient safety and therapeutic efficacy.
- Track patient progress, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with confidentiality protocols.
- Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams by attending rounds, clinics, meetings, and contributing to research or process improvement initiatives.
- Support departmental goals by fostering professional partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Engage in continuous learning by participating in clinical education programs and training opportunities.
- Provide guidance, supervision, and mentorship to junior staff, students, and therapy assistants to ensure high-quality care delivery.
- Oversee Therapy Assistants to maintain adherence to best practices in treatment implementation.
Requirements:
- Possess Bachelor/ Master Degree in Speech Pathology, Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
- Must have AHPC registration/ eligible for registration
