  • Full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council.
  • More than 5 years of experience as a Speech Therapist in a community setting.
  • Experience in project management preferred.
  • Able to work well in a team and independently.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong management, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision and consultation to enhance rehab service standards.
  • Assist in establishing evidence-based practice through guidelines, protocols and equipment.
  • Provide direct clinical service to a general or specialised group of patients.
  • Coordinate the rehab team to enhance manpower usage and maintain good rehab standards.
  • Follow up on improvements after auditing.
  • Support procurement of equipment and allocation.
  • Maintain equipment and its inventory.
  • Assist in organising staff and caseload coverage.
  • Assist in leading staff meetings related to rehab service standards.
  • Appraise junior staff.
  • Conduct incident investigation and reporting.
  • Assist in introducing measures to enhance efficiency and work safety.
  • Follow up on individual staff training plansAssist in organising drills and audits to ensure staff competency.
  • Coordinate departmental in-service training planning, projects and individual training plans to progress rehab development.
  • Enhance staff specialisation and skillsets.
  • Assist in building up successors at different levels.
  • Assist in leading research activities and projects.
