About the role
Kwong Wai Shiu Hospital is seeking an experienced Speech Therapist to join our team. As a full-time Speech Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive speech and language therapy services to our residents, helping them regain and improve their communication and swallowing abilities.
What you'll be doing
Conducting comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients' speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders
Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans to address the unique needs of each patient
Providing one-on-one and group therapy sessions to patients, focusing on improving their communication, feeding, and swallowing skills
Prepares care giver training.
Supervises subordinates during client treatment to ensure established levels of safety and professionalism are met.
Work out client treatment roster and schedule for therapy treatment.
Documenting patient progress, maintaining detailed records, and reporting on treatment outcomes, as well as to ensure billing and charging procedures for treatments given are being done properly.
Manages and summits daily and monthly statistics on time and monitors inventory management.
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care
Participating in ongoing professional development and training to stay up-to-date with the latest speech therapy practices and techniques
What we're looking for
A degree in Speech Pathology or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Speech Therapist in a healthcare setting
Registered as an Allied Health Professional with the Singapore Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with our residents, NOK, and the healthcare team
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to assess patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in speech therapy
