Deliver clear and effective lessons using a variety of relevant teaching strategies for students with autism.
Play an important role in the planning and development of curriculum and programmes to facilitate student learning.
Exhibit deep commitment to the holistic education and development of students.
Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team and with parents in providing quality education and care for the students.
Understand students' diverse learning and developmental needs, interests, abilities, and potential through observations, diagnoses, and discussions (with students, parents, and colleagues), and adapt approaches accordingly.
Plan and write IEP lesson plans, reports, records, and documentation.
Guide and coach Teacher Aides.
Job Holder's Requirements and Attributes
Recognised Degree or Polytechnic Diploma.
Teaching qualifications or equivalent in Special Education is preferred.
5 credits in GCE 'O' level with a pass in English and Mathematics is mandatory.
Preferably 3 years of experience at the primary level.
Familiarity with the national curriculum.
Demonstrate passion for teaching.
Experience in teaching children and youths with autism will be an added advantage.
