SPED Teacher - Primary

Working Location: 11 Bukit Batok Street 25

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver clear and effective lessons using a variety of relevant teaching strategies for students with autism.
• Play an important role in the planning and development of curriculum and programmes to facilitate student learning.
• Exhibit deep commitment to the holistic education and development of students.
• Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team and with parents in providing quality education and care for the students.
• Understand students' diverse learning and developmental needs, interests, abilities, and potential through observations, diagnoses, and discussions (with students, parents, and colleagues), and adapt approaches accordingly.
• Plan and write IEP lesson plans, reports, records, and documentation.
• Guide and coach Teacher Aides.

Job Holder's Requirements and Attributes

• Recognised Degree or Polytechnic Diploma.
• Teaching qualifications or equivalent in Special Education is preferred.
• 5 credits in GCE 'O' level with a pass in English and Mathematics is mandatory.
• Preferably 3 years of experience at the primary level.
• Familiarity with the national curriculum.
• Demonstrate passion for teaching.
• Experience in teaching children and youths with autism will be an added advantage.
