Job Title: Specialist Finance (Collections)

Location: Chennai

We are the captive Service Provider for DHL Global Forwarding and DHL Freight (DGFF). Our organization employs over 4,600 colleagues, supported by approximately 500 virtual FTEs (bots in process automation). Our colleagues are based across six service delivery centers in Mumbai, Chennai, Chengdu, Manila, Bogota, and Budapest. Key Responsibilities:
  1. Initiate contact with customers to address overdue accounts via phone, email, letters, and other communication methods.
  2. Respond to customer inquiries regarding outstanding debts and resolve billing disputes or discrepancies.
  3. Conduct credit limit reviews to prevent overtrading and inform customers when nearing credit limits.
  4. Escalate unresolved accounts to supervisors or managers and recommend credit holds for delinquent accounts.
  5. Deliver high-quality service through timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  6. Collaborate within the business to identify solutions, best practices, and service improvements.
  7. Flag operational challenges to supervisors and business partners promptly.
  8. Coordinate with stakeholders for regular communication and information flow.
  9. Contribute as a subject matter expert in problem-solving and process improvement.
  10. Assist staff with complex issues, maintain process documentation, and ensure quality control.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Proficiency in using MA!N or similar collections tools suitable for B2C contexts.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with systems such as S21, CW1, DDH.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for conveying complex information effectively.
Educational and Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Commerce, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Minimum 50% aggregate scores in academic pursuits.
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in Order to Cash processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting and financial principles, experience with SAP or Oracle preferred.
  • Knowledge of logistics industry and shared services operations is advantageous.
