Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL, and MYSQL.
• EDB Professional Certification and Oracle Professional Certification required.
• Extensive experience in managing database platforms, including Cluster architecture.

Job description

Make An Impact By

• The candidate is responsible for the day-to-day operational aspects of database administration to meet the business needs and service level for ORACLE plus another db flavour MSSQL/MYSQL/POSTGRES/Mongo

• Provide 1st and 2nd level operational database support.

• Assist and respond promptly to incident, investigate & provide temporary &/or permanent resolution of incidents escalated.

• Manage database changes through change request process & provide status reports to the relevant parties.

• Monitor & measure the performance & availability of databases proactively; implement corrective actions identified to improve.

• Perform regular security patching for the DBs including RAC/Cluster db.

• Handle service continuity measures, i.e., backup/restore procedures & disaster recovery plan, to ensure continuous operation of the business.

• Manage DB access. Create, Change, delete users accounts as per request.

• Maintain dataguard and ensure DR in synch all times.

• Monitor and maintain database backups.

• Audit Support.

• Prompt 24x7 support.

• Accommodative for Shift/Roster call out.

Skills for Success:

• Implement and manage Audit, Backup & Monitoring of DBs. Minimum Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

• EDB Professional Certification

• Oracle Professional Certification

• MS SQL Professional Certification

• Minimum 3 year of experience in Oracle(Standalone +RAC/Cluster)

• Minimum 3 years of experience in PostgreSQL(Standalone +Cluster)

• Minimum 3 year of experience in MS SQL (Standalone +Cluster)

• Minimum 3 year of experience in MYSQL (Standalone +Cluster)

• Extensive experience in managing common Database platform like Oracle, PostgreSQL, MS SQL & MongoDB including Cluster architecture

• Experience in performing database Patching, backup & recovery as well as excellent troubleshooting and performance tuning skill is a must.(Including cluster architecture)

• Implement Database hardening as per CIS Benchmarks.

• EDB Cluster management using EFM.
