Job description

Position: Special Needs Student Care Specialist / Centre Head

Job Purpose:
To deliver compassionate, individualized student care and support services for student with special needs, enabling them to develop essential life skills and foster independence within Connexions’ holistic care model.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individualized care and educational activities centered around participants’ learning, development, and vocational goals.
• Employ evidence-based, brain-centric strategies tailored to each individual's abilities and needs.
• Facilitate life skills training—such as daily living tasks, social interaction, communication, and vocational readiness.
• Monitor and record participant progress, adjusting approaches as needed for optimal engagement.
• Collaborate with therapists, vocational trainers, families, and the broader Connexions care team.
• Ensure a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment that upholds participant dignity and promotes resilience.
• Participate actively in program development, training initiatives, and regular internal meetings.

Education & Professional Qualifications:

• A Loving Heart is a key requirement!
• Certificate in Special Needs or Behaviour Management preferred.

Experience:

• At least 1–2 years of experience working in a student care environment
