Job summary

An educational institution in Bukit Batok is seeking a Music Educator to develop lesson plans and teach music to students. You will assess student progress and work collaboratively with parents and stakeholders. Candidates should have a Degree in Music Education and a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably with expertise in working with students with Autism.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (Except Wednesday), 7 am to 4 pm and Wednesday 7 am to 1.30 pm

Job Description

• Develop music lesson plans and resources
• Teach practical techniques, music theory, rhythm, and performance skills specific to the chosen instrument
• Assess, document, and communicate the development, progress and attainment of students
• Plan, organise and coordinate department and school programmes
• Maintain positive teacher-student relationship
• Monitor students’ social and emotional well-being
• Work with parents and relevant stakeholders, if necessary
• Perform other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective function of the work unit
• Guide and coach Teacher Aides supporting music lessons

Job Requirements

• Recognised Degree or Diploma in Music Education (Preferred)
