Are you passionate about inclusive education and empowering children with diverse learning needs? Bridging the Gap is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our growing team. This full-time role offers the opportunity to make a lasting impact in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement individualised educational plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique strengths and developmental needs

  • Use evidence-based teaching methods and assistive technologies to support academic, social, and behavioural progress

  • Collaborate closely with parents, therapists, and team members to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach

  • Continuously monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies to support meaningful growth

  • Participate in regular professional development to stay current with best practices in special education

  • Contribute actively to the evolution and enhancement of our special education programmes

Who We're Looking For

  • A recognised Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, Special Education, or Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) (SDESN)

  • Prior experience in a special education or early intervention setting, with confidence in managing diverse learner profiles

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage children and collaborate with caregivers and colleagues

  • Creative, adaptable, and empathetic in developing strategies to support each child's success

  • Passionate about inclusive education and committed to nurturing the potential in every child

  • Fluency in English, proficiency in other languages is a plus
