Job summary

APSN Education Services Ltd in Singapore is seeking an Education Support Assistant to help teachers plan, develop, deliver and evaluate learning activities for students with special needs in both self-contained and integrated settings.

You will supervise individuals or small groups, support the preparation of instructional materials, and assist MID students to build personal care and independence, while collaborating with parents, caregivers and external agencies to ensure well-being and

Qualifications

Minimum GCE O level, NITEC, polytechnic diploma or equivalent.
Experience educating persons with MID.
Ability to use educational technology applications.
Strong time management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist teachers in managing students in classrooms and community activities.
Supervise and assist individual or small groups of students in activities/educational tasks.
Assist teachers in preparation of instructional materials and/or classroom environment for lessons.
Provide support for students with MID and other developmental disabilities; develop skills for independence.
Work with committees to plan and implement school-wide educational and recreational programmes.
Collaborate with parents/caregivers and external agencies to ensure well-being of students.
