Job description

Main Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a dedicated and attentive Spa Attendant to join our Spa team here in Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree. Our attendant will be our ambassadors to uphold Banyan Tree’s standard of excellence by ensuring the spa’s cleanliness, assisting guests and ensuring a serene environment for relaxation and rejuvenation.

Key Responsibilities

Gym Operations (24 hours):

• Employees are to check gym cleanliness and replenish consumable items within every 30 minutes between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM.
• Preparing cold scented towels in minibar.
• Topping up cold scented towels, green apples, water, paper cups, etc.
• Manage equipment by resetting or putting it back after guest use.
• Sanitize equipment after each use.

Fitness Classes:

• Set up Yoga, Pilates, and Sound Bath classes based on the number of sign-ups.
• Come in at 8am check the set up and standby at spa reception, guide the guests to yoga room, session start at 8:30am daily.
• Clean and sanitize mats, then store them properly.
• Collect pool towels and face towels from Housekeeping and send back after use.

Gentle Walks and Workshops:

• Set up banquet tables and chairs for workshops such as Tea Appreciation and Natural Nagomi Art.
• Set up mats and towels for natural therapy sessions.
• Set up and store the banquet tables and chairs after all workshops. Those are very heavy and may need to get a male attendant to help.

Job Requirements

• Fresh grads are welcome to apply.
• Possessing relevant professional certification will be an added advantage.
• Experience in a similar capability, and in an establishment of a similar standing. Pre-opening experience would be useful.
• Excellent knowledge of spa operations, spa management, treatments and other related aspects.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
