Job summary

CATL seeks an experienced candidate to drive utility-scale BESS development across Southeast Asia from Singapore. You will screen opportunities, coordinate with developers, utilities, and regulators, and manage end-to-end development activities through RtB to COD.

Strong negotiation, financial modeling, and cross-cultural collaboration are essential for success. Ideal candidates hold a relevant Bachelor’s degree or higher, English fluency, and willingness to travel across SEA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or related field.
• Fluent English; additional SEA languages advantageous.
• Willingness to travel across Southeast Asia.
• Experience in utility-scale BESS or energy infrastructure development.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in RtB to COD and M&A is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify, screen, and evaluate BESS opportunities in Southeast Asia.
• Coordinate with local developers, utilities, and authorities.
• Lead project development workflows: land, grid, permits, environmental and social requirements.
• Engage regulators, utilities, and government authorities to secure approvals.
• Support market-entry strategies and partnership development across SEA.
• Manage relationships with developers, consultants, and local partners to build a pipeline.
• Oversee budgets, schedules, milestones, and risk registers for development projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, legal, and operations to mitigate risks and maximize value.
