Madras Café in Singapore is seeking a full-time Indian Kitchen Helper to support the kitchen team with food preparation, station organization, and cleanliness.

You will assist with basic cooking under supervision, restock supplies, and coordinate with serving staff to ensure timely service while following strict hygiene and safety standards. This on-site role offers hands-on learning in a fast-paced South Indian kitchen.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist with Food Preparation and basic Cooking tasks in an Indian kitchen setting.
• Strong understanding of Hygiene standards and safe food handling practices.
• General knowledge of Food & Beverage operations in a restaurant environment.
• Basic Customer Service skills to interact politely with guests and support front-of-house staff when needed.
• Willingness to learn traditional South Indian recipes and cooking techniques.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift light to moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented attitude with reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Prior experience in a commercial kitchen or restaurant is an advantage but not mandatory.
