A respected café in Singapore is seeking a talented Sous Chef to support the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations. • Sous Chef position- assisting Head Chef to run the kitchen smoothly
• Familiar with Western cuisine techniques and basic pastry skills; experience in catering is a bonus
• Able to lead kitchen team in Head chef's absence
• A team player that can work well with colleagues and work fast and efficiently under stress
• Keeps cooking stations stocked, especially before and during prime operation hours
• Supervises all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and restaurant & catering standards
• Works with head chef to maintain kitchen organisation, staff ability, and training opportunities
• Verifies that food storage units all meet standards and are consistently well-managed
• Assists head chef with menu creation
• Coordinates with restaurant management team on supply ordering, budget, and kitchen efficiency and staffing
