Baker – Craft Singapore’s Best Sourdough at Starter Lab

Born as a hole-in-the-wall bakery in Canggu, Bali, Starter Lab quickly became a destination for lovers of handcrafted sourdough. In Singapore, we’ve built a community that embraces our philosophy: slow fermentation, wild yeast, natural ingredients — and time.

We are now looking for passionate, skilled, and dedicated Bakers to join us at our production bakery in Tai Seng, where the magic of Singapore’s best sourdough is made daily.

If you love wholesome food, have a strong work ethic, and want to be part of an artisanal baking team, we want to meet you.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and team to plan daily and weekly production.

  • Measure and mix ingredients precisely, following recipes to maintain Starter Lab’s signature quality.

  • Shape products by hand with care and consistency.

  • Practice accuracy in scaling — because precision matters in baking.

  • Maintain an eye for detail across all stages of the process: mix, proof, shape, bake.

  • Help maintain the cleanliness, organization, and flow of the bakery.

What We’re Looking For
  • At least 1 year of professional baking or pastry experience, OR 2 years of culinary experience.

  • Professional, positive attitude — a can-do spirit!

  • Deep passion for baking and genuine curiosity to learn.

  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Some experience working with sourdough is preferred — if not, we’ll train you if you’ve got the passion!
