Sourcing Manager

Job Summary

This position is responsible for parts, solution and service business support for APDLC and ensures the supplier strategy meets the company’s policy and development.

Responsibilities

1. Conducts sourcing activities to support parts, solution and service business.
2. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop target costing and achieves the targets through utilization of the cost analysis tools, vendor negotiations, and i2v efforts.
3. Conducts supplier researches & analysis when required, evaluates & identifies potential new vendors to meet the business needs. Optimizes the supply base to provide competitive advantages in cost, quality, delivery, and technology.
4. Drives supplier performances, strategic alignment, and sustainability through effective supplier communications & relationship maintenance and continuous supplier improvement initiatives.
5. Works with BU and the vendors to identify potential cost saving opportunities by improving specifications and conducting tear down sessions, developing cost reduction proposals on an ongoing basis.
6. Regularly evaluates supplier’s performance of delivery, quality, and service to meet contract requirements.
7. Prepares sourcing reports for management and cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and better sourcing management and internal communication.
8. Represents Procurement in cross-functional communications to align on sourcing plans/initiatives and solicit necessary support in achieving operational excellence through internal cooperation and collaboration.
9. Focuses on company’s productivity objectives and establishes good relationships with key suppliers to drive cost saving.
10. Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
11. Complies with the company's code of conduct and business process to ensure smooth business operations.

Basic Qualifications

1. Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business preferred.
2. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
3. More than 5 years’ experience in sourcing management, including more than 3 years in project sourcing.
4. Good people management skills.
5. Effective leadership, teamwork, communication, and influencing skills.
6. Good written and oral communication skills in English & Mandarin.
7. Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks with good time management skills.

Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements

Office-based with occasional business trips.
