Job summary

THE SUPREME HR ADVISORY PTE. LTD. is seeking a Chemical Engineering Technician (Solvent Recovery) at Tuas. This role requires shift work and offers a basic salary in the stated range with overtime and shift allowances. A sign-on bonus is available per terms and conditions.

The successful candidate will operate and monitor a distillation process plant, ensure safe operation, coordinate with the laboratory for sampling, and follow SOPs while maintaining storage safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

Minimum NITEC/Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related field.
Proficient in MS Office, email and internet research.
Able to perform overtime/shift work.

Responsibilities

Operate distillation process plant to recover product from waste materials.
Ensure distillation plant operates within safe parameters.
Safely handle and transfer flammable materials.
Coordinate with Laboratory for sampling of waste and products.
Follow up on SOPs and ensure compliance.
Coordinate with Laboratory & resale team for re-sell items.
Ensure adequate storage and safe storage of products.
Monitor distillation yield and utilities consumption for efficiency.
Startup/shutdown distillation plant according to SOP.
Record process data and report deviations.
Identify and rectify process upsets and equipment malfunctions promptly.
Collaborate with engineering to resolve equipment issues and preventive measures.
Conduct routine inspections for leaks, spills, and safety hazards; handle flammables safely.
Participate in training to enhance chemical and safety knowledge.
