Contacts assigned customer accounts or prospects to sell company products within a designated geography or industry. Focuses on meeting personal sales targets, new business development, maintaining customer relationships, and troubleshooting specific customer problems. Has a solid knowledge of products, their characteristics, and market. Typically requires a good general education, excellent interpersonal skills, and sales experience.

Responsibilities
  1. Customer Relationship Management / Account Management: Develop and implement a customer contact plan to communicate product launches and engage customers in relevant sales campaigns. Act as the first point of contact for queries and complaints, resolving them or referring complex issues to others.
  2. Customer Relationship Development / Prospecting: Develop and implement a contact plan to build new relationships through product launches and sales campaigns. Serve as the first contact for customer queries and resolve issues accordingly.
  3. Customer Needs Clarification: Set objectives for each sales interaction, use presentation materials, ask relevant questions to gauge interest, and identify areas for further information.
  4. Sales Opportunities Creation: Identify potential customers via referrals, recommendations, trade shows, and conferences.
  5. Sell Customer Propositions: Match products or services to customer needs, explain options, and invite purchase under standard terms.
  6. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Data: Schedule follow-ups, record interactions in CRM to support retention and development activities.
  7. Promoting Customer Focus: Collaborate internally and externally to meet customer needs and develop relationships.
  8. Operational Compliance: Understand and adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and regulations. Seek approval for exceptions.
  9. Performance Management: Use performance systems to improve personal or team performance, addressing any issues promptly.
  10. Personal Capability Building: Engage in ongoing training, education, and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
