Job summary

Schneider Electric Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Solution Purchaser on a 1-year contract to manage end-to-end Solution Supply Chain operations in Singapore, covering sourcing, purchasing, planning and logistics for tender and project execution.

You will drive intra-group and outside-group procurement, define supply chain strategies, oversee the full procurement process, negotiate terms with suppliers, and ensure on-time delivery with cost, quality, safety and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Mechanical Engineering and/or Supply Chain & Logistics.
• Professional Supply Chain Certification (CPSM, ISM) is a plus.
• 4–5 years in supply chain operations with focus in project procurement.

Job description

We are looking for aSolution Purchaser (contract) who will manage the end-to-end Solution Supply Chain operations within the country, covering sourcing, purchasing, planning, and logistics. This role involves handling both intra-group (IG) and outside-group (OG) procurement activities, driving supply chain performance for service operations. He/ she ensures alignment with business strategies, mitigates supply chain risks, and delivers optimized purchasing solutions to enable profitable project and service growth.

What will you do:

• Manage sourcing and purchasing for Tender and Project Execution activities for both Intra group and Outside group procurement.
• Define and deploy supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Oversee the complete procurement process from identifying business opportunities to sourcing from internal and external vendors, all the way through to execution.
• Manage Supplier selection process for a specific project by analyzing continuously stakes, risks/opportunities and the constraints related to each project.Identify and implement cost savings and avoidance opportunities without impacting service levels.
• Assess risks on the supply chain and transfer/mitigate it as early as possible through audit, contractual clauses, supplier development plan.Negotiate Terms & Conditions (T&C) with suppliers securing "back to back" and "If & When" conditions versus Schneider Electric customer conditions. Contractual with suppliers, managing potential claims with suppliers.
• Ensure timely delivery of purchased goods and services with the best parameters of cost, quality, safety, and sustainability.
• Lead strategic procurement and sourcing for network equipment, control panels, field devices, servers, workstations, software licenses, and installation services. Conduct supplier benchmarking and market analysis to optimize cost, quality, and delivery.
• Review vendor and subcontractor compliance against tender specifications, BOQs, datasheets, and RACI matrices to ensure full alignment with tender requirements.
• Coordinate with Tender Engineers, System Architects and Engineering Teams to resolve technical and commercial deviation
• Negotiate commercial terms, including pricing, payment conditions, delivery schedules, warranties, and service agreements.
• Perform procurement risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for long lead-time items, single-source dependencies, inflation exposure, RMIs, foreign exchange fluctuations, resource availability, and capability constraints.

Education:

• Bachelor/ Diploma in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation/Mechanical Engineering and/or Supply Chain & Logistics (Preferred)
• Professional Supply Chain Certification (CPSM, ISM, etc) is a plus

Experience:

• Minimum 4 - 5 years in supply chain operations with focus in project procurement
• Experience in in Building/ Energy/ Power Management System or EPC Project-based supply chain environment is an advantage
