Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Singapore Pte. Ltd. is hiring a Solution Manager (ELV & Data Hall Fit-Out) to oversee the full lifecycle of data hall fit-out and ELV design across its regional data center portfolio.

You will lead design coordination, engage with clients, and ensure delivery meets quality and compliance benchmarks. You will manage ELV system design and implementation, including ICT, SCS, Network & Security, BMS/Fire systems, and coordinate with consultants and contractors to achieve on-time,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of ELV system design and data hall fit-out experience in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage full project lifecycle—design, procurement, construction, testing, handover.
• Strong understanding of ELV standards, installation practices and system integration.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office; English fluency for international collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data hall fit-out design and delivery from concept to handover.
• Lead ELV system design and coordination (ICT, SCS, Network & Security, BMS, Fire Alarm).
• Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and bid teams; ensure compliance with standards.

Job Overview

The Solution Manager (ELV & Data Hall Fit-Out) is responsible for managing the complete lifecycle of data hall fit-out and ELV system design and implementation within DayOne’s regional data center portfolio. This role involves direct client engagement, design coordination, consultant to ensure all deliverables meet the company’s standards . The successful candidate will lead data hall and ELV solution delivery from concept through to handover, supporting both technical excellence and seamless customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Hall Fit-Out Design & Management Manage the end-to-end design and delivery of data hall fit-out works, from client consultation to final project handover. Oversee detailed design and implementation of systems including server racks, hot/cold aisle containment (HAC/HCC), cable trays, grounding systems, CEEFORM outlets, and combined services drawings (CSDs). Ensure all designs are aligned with client requirements, industry standards, and constructability best practices. Coordinate with contractors and consultants to deliver high-quality and on-schedule fit-out works.
2. ELV Systems Design & Implementation Lead the design, coordination, and execution of Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) systems for data centers, including but not limited to: ICT & Structured Cabling Systems (SCS) Network & Security Systems (TVRA, CCTV, ACS, FIDS, VMS, ISMS, etc.) AV/Video Conferencing Systems BMS, BA, and Fire Alarm Systems (preferred) Manage external consultants in preparing detailed design documents, reviewing tender materials, and supporting bid evaluations. Ensure that ELV system designs meet performance, reliability, and compliance requirements with reference to relevant international and local standards.
3. Client Liaison & Technical Support Serve as the primary technical interface for international clients throughout the project lifecycle, managing expectations and ensuring alignment with client design and construction requirements. Familiar with global data center cabling and infrastructure standards, including: Underground duct bank systems Secure trunking and cable basket layouts Fiber runner management POE systems and telco manhole coordination Provide technical Q&A, troubleshooting, and on-site issue resolution.
4. Standards, Innovation & Technology Stay updated on the latest developments in ELV, automation, and data center fit-out technologies. Research and evaluate new solutions in intelligent building automation, environmental monitoring, and IoT integration to enhance system efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Support the development and maintenance of DayOne’s ELV and Fit-Out Design Standards, ensuring alignment across all regional projects.

Essential Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related engineering discipline. Candidates with significant ELV and data hall fit-out experience may be considered based on equivalent qualifications.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in ELV system design and implementation or data hall fit-out within data centers or mission-critical facilities. Proven ability to independently manage the full project lifecycle — design, procurement, construction, testing, and handover. Experience working with design consultants, system integrators, and general contractors.
• Technical Competence: Strong understanding of ELV standards, installation practices, and system integration principles. Familiar with data center infrastructure systems and fit-out coordination between electrical, mechanical, and ICT services.
• Preferred: Working knowledge of BMS, BA, and Fire Alarm systems, and testing and acceptance documentation standards.
• Skills & Attributes: Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong leadership and ownership, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver results under pressure. High attention to detail, strong discipline, and commitment to quality. Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required to interface with international and regional teams. Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
