Job summary

DayOne Data Centers Ltd. is seeking a shift supervisor to lead a team of technicians in a fast-paced data centre environment. The role focuses on operational oversight, performance reviews, and seamless handovers to ensure continuous service delivery.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of data centre experience, with strong leadership and communication skills suitable for a 24/7 operation.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and Supervision: Lead and manage a team of shift technicians, ensuring they perform their duties effectively.
• Leadership and Supervision: Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Leadership and Supervision: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
• Operational Oversight: Ensure all data centre operations are running smoothly and efficiently during the shift. Monitor critical services and building systems to identify and address potential issues promptly. Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to resolve operational challenges.
• Shift Handover Management: Prepare detailed shift handover reports, documenting all relevant information, incidents, and actions taken during the shift.
• Shift Handover Management: Ensure shift handover reports are completed and communicated effectively before the end of each shift.
• Shift Handover Management: Conduct shift handover meetings to brief the incoming shift on the current status and any ongoing issues.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Compliance and Safety: Conduct regular safety drills and training sessions for the shift team.
• Compliance and Safety: Report and document any safety incidents or near-misses promptly.
• Technical Support: Provide technical assistance and support to the shift team as needed.

Qualifications
