Job summary

Hitachi Rail Singapore Pte. Ltd. seeks a Solution Architect to design and deliver end-to-end technology solutions for asset management and predictive maintenance.

You will provide technical leadership across architecture, security, data, and infrastructure while aligning with Hitachi Rail’s strategic goals. Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in software development and solution architecture.
• Strong experience in architecture across applications, data platforms and IT infrastructure.
• Proven expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) including hybrid architectures.
• Hands-on programming, containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices.
• Knowledge of distributed systems, event-driven design and integration patterns.
• Experience with data platforms, analytics ecosystems and real-time processing.
• Familiarity with DevOps/MLOps, CI/CD, IaC and automated deployments.
• Cybersecurity principles, IAM, data protection and secure design knowledge.
• Ability to design high availability, scalable, resilient systems; strong stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architectures across applications, data, platform, and infra.
• Translate business needs into scalable, secure technical solutions.
• Define application and data architectures and API/data integration.
• Establish IT infra strategy (cloud/on-prem/hybrid) for scale and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with cyber security experts to embed secure design principles.
• Lead system integration using APIs, data pipelines and interoperability standards.
• Champion data and analytics capabilities including predictive use cases.
• Provide technical leadership through design, build, deploy and operate.
• Ensure governance and compliance with architecture standards.
