Job summary

Sembcorp Solar Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking a proactive Solar O&M Senior Technician to join the team in Singapore. The role focuses on daily planning of O&M activities and managing work orders, coordinating with town councils and customers, and ensuring safety standards are met.

The candidate should have a diploma or NITEC in electrical engineering or related field, with at least 1 year of related experience. Lean/Kaizen training is a plus, and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or NITEC in electrical engineering or related field is preferred.
• Experience in solar, electrical maintenance, facilities maintenance, work planning, or service coordination (1+ year).
• Training in maintenance planning, work order management, facilities management, or project coordination is advantageous.
• Lean/Kaizen or process improvement training is preferred to support workflow improvements.
• Familiarity with safety requirements and ability to comply with site procedures during planning and coordination.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage work orders for daily O&M activities, coordinating with stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment.
• Maintain tracking for site clearance requirements and work order closures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize processes and improve workflow efficiency.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports on maintenance progress.
• Contribute to Kaizen and Lean improvement initiatives.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the RO.

Purpose & Scope:

We are seeking a proactive and organized Solar Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Senior Technician to join our team, with a primary focus on daily planning of work activities and the management of work orders. As a Solar O&M Senior Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of solar systems by creating and managing work orders, coordinating with stakeholders, and overseeing maintenance schedules. This role requires a strong understanding of solar energy systems, electrical engineering, and operational planning

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Create and manage work orders for daily O&M activities, coordinating with relevant stakeholders such as town councils and customers.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and your team.
• Maintain tracking system for site clearance requirements and work order closures.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to optimize processes and improve workflow efficiency.
• Prepare and submit monthly reports on maintenance work progress.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives such as Kaizen and Lean projects.
• Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Reporting Officer (RO)

Qualification & Experiences:

• A diploma / NITEC / Higher NITEC in electrical engineering, renewable energy, or a related field is preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in solar, electrical maintenance, facilities maintenance, work planning, or service coordination.
• Relevant training or certification in maintenance planning, work order management, facilities management, project coordination, or equivalent would be advantageous.
• Training in Lean, Kaizen, or process improvement methodology would be preferred to support workflow improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with workplace safety requirements and ability to comply with site safety procedures during planning and coordination of works.
• Basic understanding of solar PV components, including modules, inverters, racking systems, and monitoring devices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders effectively and present ideas clearly.
• A positive work attitude with a people-oriented approach.
