Job description

We are looking for a Solar Site Supervisor to join our growing team. If you have hands-on experience in solar PV projects and a strong grasp of site management, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do

As a Solar Site Supervisor, you will be the key person driving day-to-day on-site operations and ensuring that our solar installations are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

1. Site Supervision & Team Coordination

• Oversee and coordinate daily site activities to ensure smooth project execution.
• Supervise and guide subcontractors and workers to maintain workflow and quality.
• Ensure work aligns with approved construction drawings and project specifications.
• Enforce safety protocols and promote a strong safety culture on-site.
• Troubleshoot on-site issues and maintain workforce competency.

2. Materials & Equipment Oversight

• Ensure timely delivery and availability of materials, tools, and equipment on-site.
• Verify materials against project requirements and report discrepancies.
• Maintain proper tracking and documentation of material usage.

3. Progress Tracking & Reporting

• Collaborate with the Project Engineer to monitor site progress.
• Provide regular site updates, status reports, and flag issues early.

4. Site Inspections & Quality Assurance

• Lead internal and developer QA/QC inspections upon completion of works.
• Address and close all comments or defects raised during site inspections.
• Support tie-in shut down and power turn-on activities as instructed.

5. Site Survey & Documentation

• Conduct site surveys and take accurate site measurements.
• Annotate drawings with actual site dimensions.

Qualifications

• Specialist Diploma in Solar PV Engineering and Monitoring
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in site supervision, preferably in solar PV or SolarNova projects.
• Understanding of construction drawings and electrical systems.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Familiar with safety standards and site QA/QC processes.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in outdoor environments.
• Manage Work-at-height / Work at Height Rescue Course (WAHRC) certifications
