We are looking for a Solar Site Supervisor to join our growing team. If you have hands-on experience in solar PV projects and a strong grasp of site management, we’d love to hear from you!
What You’ll Do
As a Solar Site Supervisor, you will be the key person driving day-to-day on-site operations and ensuring that our solar installations are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
1. Site Supervision & Team Coordination
- Oversee and coordinate daily site activities to ensure smooth project execution.
- Supervise and guide subcontractors and workers to maintain workflow and quality.
- Ensure work aligns with approved construction drawings and project specifications.
- Enforce safety protocols and promote a strong safety culture on-site.
- Troubleshoot on-site issues and maintain workforce competency.
2. Materials & Equipment Oversight
- Ensure timely delivery and availability of materials, tools, and equipment on-site.
- Verify materials against project requirements and report discrepancies.
- Maintain proper tracking and documentation of material usage.
3. Progress Tracking & Reporting
- Collaborate with the Project Engineer to monitor site progress.
- Provide regular site updates, status reports, and flag issues early.
4. Site Inspections & Quality Assurance
- Lead internal and developer QA/QC inspections upon completion of works.
- Address and close all comments or defects raised during site inspections.
- Support tie-in shut down and power turn-on activities as instructed.
5. Site Survey & Documentation
- Conduct site surveys and take accurate site measurements.
- Annotate drawings with actual site dimensions.
Qualifications
- Specialist Diploma in Solar PV Engineering and Monitoring
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in site supervision, preferably in solar PV or SolarNova projects.
- Understanding of construction drawings and electrical systems.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiar with safety standards and site QA/QC processes.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in outdoor environments.
- Manage Work-at-height / Work at Height Rescue Course (WAHRC) certifications
