Job summary

PVH (Tommy Hilfiger/Calvin Klein) Singapore is seeking a Solar PV Design Engineer to deliver design and engineering for rooftop PV installations. You will perform site visits, select components, and prepare electrical layouts with single-line diagrams and interconnection details.

You will sizes DC/AC cables, be familiar with CP5/SCDF FSC and regulatory codes, and provide 3D shading analysis using Sketchup. Team collaboration and independent work are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Clean Energy/Renewable Energy.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates welcome.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp and PVsyst.
• Ability to read Electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), roof plans and drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Singaporean only.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer Solar PV systems following best practices and codes.

Job description

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Solar PV Design and Engineering with good engineering practice and in compliance with Solar PV Installations
• Carry out site visits to verify roof layout as provided by the client or by the engineering team
• Selection of system components
• Provide design for electrical layout including single-line diagrams, interconnection details, wiring & block diagrams
• Prepare calculation for DC/AC cable & trunking sizing
• Familiar with CP5, SCDF FSC, and regulatory codes relevant to Solar PV Installations
• Provide 3D modeling & shading analysis using Sketchup
• Provide engineering support as needed to the project development and project management teams
• Understand the optimal design applications and design limitations of our solutions, and develop the evaluation of alternative component requirements

Requirements

• Polytechnic Diploma in Electrical Engineering/Clean Energy/Renewable Energy
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred. Fresh graduates are welcome
• Proficient in Autocad, Sketchup and PVsyst
