Job summary

YCH Group Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Solar Engineer to design, develop, and optimize solar energy systems and other renewable solutions across facilities. You will conduct technical assessments, feasibility studies, and manage installation projects ensuring compliance with standards.

The role requires hands-on experience with PV design software, knowledge of electrical codes, and collaboration with EPC contractors.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Renewable Energy or related field.
2–5 years of experience in solar PV design, installation, or energy engineering.
Proficiency with solar design software (PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope, HOMER).
Strong knowledge of electrical codes, grid connection requirements, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

System Design & Engineering: Design solar PV systems (rooftop, ground-mounted, hybrid, off-grid, on-grid) including electrical, structural, and mechanical components.
Perform energy yield simulations and financial analysis using tools such as PVsyst, Helioscope, or HOMER.
Develop system layouts, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Feasibility & Site Assessment: Conduct site visits, shading analysis, and structural evaluations.
Assess solar potential, energy consumption patterns, and load profiles.
