Job summary

Beyondsoft seeks a Software Test Engineer to ensure the quality of client IT products. You will be based at the client’s site in Tuas, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, execute, and manage end-to-end testing solutions.

Preferred candidates hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s in CS/IT with at least 1 year in software testing; familiarity with STLC, defect tracking, and test design is expected. Mandarin proficiency is a strong plus for communication with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in software testing or quality assurance.
• Experience in Retail IT is highly advantageous.
• Good understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with testing methodologies, test case design, defect tracking, and bug reporting processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze system requirements (software, hardware, firmware) to evaluate feasibility within time and cost constraints.
• Formulate test strategies, technical designs, and comprehensive test plans to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Design, write, and execute manual test cases across functional and non-functional testing.
• Identify, document, track, and manage bugs to resolution, ensuring timely submission of bug and progress reports.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams on requirement clarification, scope estimation, and sizing.

About the role
