Singapore Pools (Private) Limited. is seeking an experienced IT professional to join the development and testing team in Singapore. The role focuses on planning, analysis, design, coding, testing and implementation of changes, and providing ongoing application support.
You will gather business requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and manage testing across units, while coordinating with stakeholders and vendors to ensure smooth releases and reliable operations.
Singapore Pools was established by the Singapore government on 23 May 1968 to provide safe and trusted betting to counter illegal gambling. As a not-for-profit organisation, it makes contributions to the Tote Board to fund a wide range of causes in social service, community development, sports, arts, education and health sectors.
Since 2004, over $5 billion have been channelled to the Tote Board. In addition, Singapore Pools also contributes about $2 billion annually to the Government in the form of taxes and duties. Its responsible gaming practices have been awarded the highest level of certification (Level 4) by the World Lottery Association's Responsible Gaming Framework since 2012.
Since inception, Singapore Pools' staff have a long-standing commitment to doing good and giving back to those in need. Staff volunteers support activities held all year round, from helping disadvantaged children, youth-at-risk, underprivileged families, and elderly, to conserving the environment.
The role is involved in planning, analysis, detailed design, coding, testing and implementation of development and/or enhancements and provide ongoing application support including for projects. This includes creating, executing and documenting the tests necessary to ensure applications meet business, functional and performance requirements for enhancements/fixes, product upgrades, projects, and reports bugs to team lead, vendor, project team, and accurately communicates impact of bugs. The role works closely with business stakeholders and technology partners to gather, analyse, validate and translate business requirements into business aligned technology solutions. The role is also responsible for the quality and integrity of the Incident Management process, identify and log incidents/problems, restore normal services and minimize adverse impact on operations, monitor all events that occur in the relevant applications/system to allow normal operations and to detect and escape exception conditions.
Degree-qualified in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or IT related discipline, with 3+ years of experience in developing and implementing applications, application enhancements and automated testing.
