Job description

Position: Software QA Engineer

Working Location: Serangoon

Salary: $4000 - $6500 (depends on experience)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5.30pm

Job Responsibilities:

· Facilitate and lead the implementation of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes by working closely with the software team. Provide input on Software DFX and ensure compliance with the established Quality Management System (QMS).

· Develop and execute a Software Quality Audit plan and schedule across all major software development projects.

· Conduct timely software audits and deliver detailed, effective communication and reporting on process and product issues, highlighting severity and potential impact on product quality and project timelines.

· Establish and automate data collection mechanisms; gather, monitor, and report metrics for analysis and improvement. This includes using tools such as Azure DevOps, Azure Data Analytics, Power BI Desktop & Dashboard, Power Automate, Smartsheets, and E-Dataloggers.

· Ensure all defects reported during the development lifecycle—including those identified through audits—are properly logged, traced to root cause, addressed with effective corrective actions, and closed in alignment with the software team, customers, and key stakeholders.

· Participate in cross-functional teams to conduct root cause and statistical analysis of critical internal or customer-reported defects. Provide clarity on issues and ensure timely resolution with preventive measures where applicable.

· Facilitate and drive continuous process improvement initiatives within the software organization.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of experience in Software Quality Management.

· Proficient in programming languages such as C++/C# and .NET, with a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and SQL scripting.

· Strong foundation in software development practices and familiarity with industry best practices.

· Experience working with Agile Scrum and other software development process models.

· Skilled in Microsoft tools including Excel, Azure DevOps, Office 365 Power Automate, Smartsheets, and SharePoint.

· Hands-on experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI Desktop & Dashboard, Azure IoT Hub, Stream Analytics, and PostgreSQL.

· A self-starter with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

· Capable of working in a fast-paced setting and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
