Job summary

Reolink Technology Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Lead Engineer / Software Technical Manager in Singapore. The role focuses on design, development, and performance optimization of core components within high-concurrency systems.

Applicants should have a CS or related degree and 8+ years of software development experience with Java, Node.js, and a strong foundation in CS fundamentals. A strong multi-framework background is a plus, and relocation to Tai Seng is provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, software engineering or related field.
• At least 8 years of software development experience with Java.
• Strong CS fundamentals: OS, networks, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proficiency in Java (including JVM internals and performance tuning) or Node.js (event-driven, async programming); both is a plus.
• Experience with Kafka, RocketMQ, Dubbo, Zookeeper, Redis.
• Deep knowledge of MySQL, including schema design, SQL optimization, and scaling strategies.
• Hands-on building, deploying, and maintaining high-concurrency, high-performance systems.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of design, development, refactoring, and performance optimization of core system components.
• Research, design, and implement innovative solutions for complex business and technical problems, especially high-concurrency scenarios.
• Contribute to system architecture decisions focusing on scalability, availability, and fault tolerance.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with local and regional teams and promote knowledge sharing across the organization.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline
2. At least8 years of software development experience (Java Programming) is preferable for this post
3. Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (operating systems, network principles, data structures, and algorithms)
4. Programming Languages: High proficiency in Java (including JVM internals and performance tuning) or Node.js (including its event-driven architecture and asynchronous programming model). Proficiency in both is a significant plus.
5. Frameworks & Middleware: Proficient with common open-source frameworks and tools such as Kafka, RocketMQ, Dubbo, Zookeeper, and Redis.
6. Deep knowledge of MySQL, including schema design, SQL optimization, and database scaling strategies.
7. System Experience: Proven, hands-on experience in building, deploying, and maintaining high-concurrency, high-performance, and high-availability systems.
