Job description

Responsibilities:

• Lead design, implement, and optimize firmware for embedded systems, ensuring it meets functional and performance requirements
• Lead code reviews to maintain code quality and adhere to coding standards
• Identify, debug, and resolve software issues, optimizing code for size, speed, and power efficiency
• Work closely with hardware teams to integrate firmware with new or existing hardware components
• Write and execute unit tests, participate in integration testing, and support system-level testing
• Maintain and update technical documentation including design specifications, code comments, and user manuals
• Work with other engineers to solve complex problems, share knowledge, and ensure project milestones are met
• Stay updated with new technologies, tools, and methodologies in embedded systems

Qualifications:

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, etc. with 5+years of professional experience or combined equivalent experience with evidence of exceptional ability
• Proficiency in C or C++ for embedded systems.
• Understanding of low-level programming and hardware interfacing.
• Experience with one or more IDEs and debugging tools.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Knowledge of real-time programming concepts and real-time operating systems.
• Ability to write efficient code under resource constraints (memory, CPU).
• Experience with embedded system testing practices.
• Basic knowledge of digital and analog electronics.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% including internationally
• Excellent written and verbal communications in English
