RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Strategy

• Define and drive integration architecture, best practices, and standards across projects.
• Lead and mentor the internal integration development team, including system analysts and software engineers.
• Collaborate with solution architects, application owners, and infrastructure teams to ensure coherent and effective integration.

Project & Technical Delivery

• Plan, track, and manage integration workstreams across multiple systems and domains.
• Review and approve integration specifications, data mapping, and interface designs.
• Oversee implementation of integration components using:
• • Apache Kafka, IBM MQ, REST/SOAP services, MQTT
  • JSON, XML, ETL pipelines
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and maintainability of integration solutions.

Operational Excellence

• Ensure production readiness through well-documented handovers to L2/L3 support teams.
• Oversee issue investigation and resolution for integration-related defects and incidents.
• Establish integration monitoring, health checks, and alerting mechanisms for live systems.

Governance & Compliance

• Enforce version control, coding standards, and documentation for all integration components.
• Ensure all integrations comply with data security, audit, and regulatory policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in software/system integration, with at least 3 years in a team leadership or management role.
• Proven expertise in integration technologies such as Kafka, IBM MQ, and APIs, with a strong understanding of integration patterns (synchronous, asynchronous, pub-sub).
• Hands-on experience in API development, middleware orchestration, data transformation, and message routing.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD integration pipelines.
• Familiarity with large public sector projects is preferred.
• Experience with tools such as GitLab or similar version control and CI/CD platforms.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture is a strong advantage.
• Professional certifications (e.g., TOGAF, Kafka) are considered a plus.
