Job description

Role: Software Engineer

Contract: 1 year Renewable

Location: Central, Singapore

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will play a mission-critical role in ensuring our systems are healthy, monitored, automated, fault-tolerant, and designed to scale.

You will collaborate closely with engineering teams to improve our production services, facilitate fast delivery of new products, and reduce downtime.

Key Skills: SRE, Generative AI, Machine Learning, Python, React.

Secondary Skills: Unix, CHAOS Engineering, DB / MQ Administration, Network (DNS, Firewall, GTM/LTM, VLAN).

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive Site Reliability Engineering initiatives to improve service availability, reliability, and performance.
• Enhance observability for our applications.
• Optimize operational processes to reduce toil.
• Assist application teams in setting up SLI, SLO, and Error Budget.
• Collaborate with enterprise teams on deploying SRE enablers and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Strong background in machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
• Proficiency in Python for developing Generative AI models.
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable AI systems.
• Skills in data preprocessing and feature engineering.
• Up-to-date with the latest advancements in generative AI research.
• Expertise in various OS (AIX, Linux, Windows, Solaris) for support, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of OS security and hardening.
• Experience with Patch Management.
• Knowledge of LVM, SAN, and file system management in clustered and non-clustered environments.
• Experience with ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, and related virtualization and support tools.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and OpenShift deployment.
• Support for security scans, DR drills, capacity review, and performance management.
• Knowledge of Middleware components like JBoss, Apache, WebSphere, MQ.
• Understanding of SSL certificate procurement and renewal processes.
• Experience with MariaDB, Oracle, and DB2 databases, including backup, restore, and upgrades.
• Familiarity with SAN configuration on UNIX systems.
• Firewall, GTM, LTM configuration skills.
• Ability to develop shell scripts and automation tools.
• Effective crisis management and troubleshooting skills.
• Proven leadership in guiding teams in a productivity-driven environment.
• Experience in production support, application support, or infrastructure support.
• Willingness to learn and deploy new technologies to improve operations.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work across cultures and on a 24/7 basis.
