Job Summary
Looking for a strong Software Engineer that have worked on data projects. You will be in the Data Engineer team to do migration from legacy data systems to OpenSearch and build a Data Toolkit to standardize ingestion and observability across teams. This role involves strategic ownership of testing, automation, and data architecture to improve data flow, monitoring, and reliability across the organization. You will collaborate with analysts, business users, and engineering teams to build scalable, well-documented data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead migration projects from legacy systems to OpenSearch.
• Design and develop ETL/ELT pipelines with a focus on automation and reliability.
• Build and maintain a standardized Data Toolkit for ingestion and observability.
• Implement automated testing frameworks to ensure data quality and pipeline stability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business data needs and translate into scalable solutions.
• Drive architectural improvements and best practices around data observability and testing.

Key Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years' experience as a Software Engineer that have worked on data projects.
• Languages: Java/Kotlin, preferably Python
• Testing: Good testing mindset, preferably experience with TDD & automated testing (must have)
• Data Engineering: ETL/ELT pipelines, CI/CD pipelines
• Search & Observability: OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, Solr (bonus)
• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS, Terraform (bonus)
